No points for 3K flight (sin-kl)

I think there's some truth to this.

I just did a search for SIN-KUL and PER-xSIN-KUL. When I select the plus bundle option, the list of inclusions does not include "Earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points". However, if I do a search for, say, PER-xSIN-HKG, the plus bundle does include "Earn Qantas . . ."

I don't know when it changed and it has me very concerned that my booking in early April will now not accrue points or SCs. This really angers me.

Delving further, a PER-xSIN-KUL plus bundle graphic looks like this:

But a KUL-xSIN-PER graphic looks like this:

There are definitely issues with the way the website is presenting plus bundles at the moment. Two more examples:
- Look for a flight VIZ-SYD (VIZ = Melbourne all airports) and the plus bundle indicates a hot meal is included. Look for a flight MEL-SYD, and on the exact same flight the plus bundle includes no indication of a hot meal.
- SIN-CGK includes QFF pts (or voucher). CGK-SIN does not.

Interesting.

But when you click on 'View Plus Bundle rules' (once you've selected a specific flight), it lists all the conditions and inclusions for the bundle, including QFF points and SCs.

I'd be taking screenshots. I've also had an online chat with a JQ agent who confirmed that if you select the plus bundle QFF and SCs are a given.

Still strange, though.

Good morning all!

It seems this issue has now been resolved in our favour:

I have since booked a SIN-KUL 3K flight, where the Plus Bundle screen mentioned QFF points, and the above option was given on the following page.

Perhaps it was just a glitch when they introduced the flight voucher option?

Australia's highest-earning Velocity Frequent Flyer credit card: Offer expires: 21 Jan 2025
- Earn 60,000 bonus Velocity Points
- Get unlimited Virgin Australia Lounge access
- Enjoy a complimentary return Virgin Australia domestic flight each year

It was a web glitch, been earning points and SCs on 3K to KUL pretty much every month this year.

Points post in about three days, getting a bit sick of the "chicken" sandwich thats pink and looks a lot like ham!

Wow... that doesn't sound good! With comments like that, I'm thinking of switching to the 'light vegetarian meal'... I don't suppose you've tried it?

No, the water I enjoy but normally not expecting much, they did give me a snack bag one flight as there were no sandwiches, given its 35-45 minutes flying time and ex SIN I have loaded in the lounge as far as food goes its no big deal.

Had the same issue on 3K SIN-HAK. Only after 2 months and a few emails & phone calls finally got the points & SC's.

Haha true... I forgot about the lounge food for a moment (*shock horror*)! I booked a 5pm departure ex SIN, so I'll at least have a couple of hours in which to dine. A shame that you can't trade the inflight meal for ~100 bonus points, as I'd probably take that option and save them the trouble! :)

Sorry to bring up an old thread but looks like I'm having this issue. Trying to book a multi-city (DRW-DPS/SIN-DRW) with a plus bundle and can get points for the first leg (JQ) but not the second (3K). I suspect the deeply discounted sale price on the return leg might be affecting it but the fare rules say it should still be eligible!

Scott.

3K flights do earn points and SCs if booked into the right class or a plus pack has been purchased.

I was on the same flight 6 days later and even had a free sandwich and a bottle of water thrown in (as part of the plus bundle) for such a short sector:

The fare conditions on their website state that 3K flights earn points & SC but BL flights don't. I tried a dummy booking for SIN-KUL and that had the option for QF points so it must be a glitch with the SIN-DRW flight.
