Did a few flights last 3 weeks on AA one in the middle of all this did not show, claimed it and today oit shows zero, does this mean its now recognised and points would be awarded later?

What fare class was that flight booked in?

Wouldn't all farebuckets count regardless?

I have a similar issue (think my booking was Q class) - i'm not so interested in the points as I am the status credits

I would say its Q class and the QF computer has recognised it.

No, all economy fares do not earn the same.

See Frequent Flyer - Earning Points - Fly - Airline Partners

For AA flights, fares with booking codes Y, B, K, or H earn 1 QFF point per mile flown. Fares with booking codes G, L, M, N, S, V earn 0.5 QFF points per mile flown. Any other booking code (such as Q, O, E) do not earn anything.

CX also have restrictions in place. The Link above is a good place to find those restrictions.

Just checked my QF status - and have been granted the status credits and the negligible FF points.

Perhaps the AA flights weren't Q class - I know the Qantas legs were.

Anyway - for a pleb like me - I might make my very first ever status jump next month (...... to silver)

Don't have the Y class to hand booked it online, why would it show in my QFF at all if its zero?.

To let you know that the flight has been assessed, happens often for non point earn flights where your FF number is on the booking.

How do you know what the booking class is when you book the flights ? Currently looking at (and needing some help) Honolulu to Fort Lauderdale return Feb 24th - 11th March 2013, would like to maximise earn, but not sure I have the energy or know how for what maybe required for a status run. I have an AA advantage number with 0 miles so can book via their website, ($1800 for two) and have also looked at booking an award flight on Q website but not sure if that is a good use of points.

This would be due to the fare that you purchased being ineligible as per the earn rate in the FF T&C's.

Didn't know that, was a couple thou points and about 20 status, not to worry racked up enough for us to be SG for another 15 months but need far to many required to go Plat.
