Was thinking of booking a JASA on QF: HKG - PER - SYD
Now, what will happen if I decide to "no-show" the PER - SYD leg? Will I be able to rebook to a later flight on a different day (I would have thought I would even be eligible to receive a partial refund!)

Was trying to see the fare rules for a JASA ex HKG but rules did not address i) stopovers and ii) no-shows for domestic legs. Very esoteric part of QFF I must say...

I have had similar - I found U class on a flight I could some three months later and the Qantas premium Agent on Oz happily changed the second leg to the new flight - took about 30 seconds.

YMMV - It may not always work and I note those fare rules have a "Service Fee" for changes - the booking I did this with did not.

Sorry just to clarify, the itinerary was HKG - xPER - SYD. You reckon there's a chance to move it by calling the premium desk? It'll be like creating a pseudo stopover...

Some premium agents will just do it; some will check the fare rules etc. and then you may have to ante up.

The best part is that if you are not getting your desired result, simply say "Thank you for your effort" and "I'll need to think about it, please don't make any changes" then nicely end the conversation.

Call back a little later and try again.

YMMV!

Remember, you need the same booking class (U) available on your targeted flight.

Just to update I managed to get the second leg PER - SYD changed. Took a while as the agent had to call me back the next day (had to check with ticketing what the fare rules were) - in the end I got charged a small amount of extra tax (~A$10 per tix) and no service fee as per my ticket conditions.

Note this wasn't done through the premium desk but the local QF office...
