No Virgin Redemptions Using Krisflyer Miles

Just spoke with KrisFlyer membership services trying to book a Virgin Australia domestic flight using soon to expire KrisFlyer points but was told that Singapore Airlines doesn't service the route. That I can't book domestic flights using my KrisFlyer points. Not happy.
If it's a short route, you could convert the points to VA points. The 12K awards on SQ are often 7.8K on VA, so the points required are almost identical.

Without knowing which route you are trying to book I just found plenty of reward availability using Krisflyer miles on Virgin for 3 different domestic options for next year. This is definitely a big improvement on what has been the case late in 2022.
Which route booking are you trying to make?

SYD–BNK plenty of velocity seats but I wanted to use the KrisFlyer’s before they expire.

There's something weird going on with the website and BNK. You see below it says "1. Sydney to "...it doesn't quite know where!

Also, it shows no availability any day, but if I search now for 08 Oct or 09 Oct it will offer two flights each of those days.

Try this. Search for MEL - BNK and note those days where an option is offered (always via SYD). Then search SYD-BNK for that date. For me, that caused SYD-BNK results to start appearing as above, even though the website is still confused.

It seems a bit like me session now understands (sort of) what BNK is.

Thank you. Another great tip. I agree that the website doesn’t quite know what it’s doing 😊

Apologies for the hijack but my issue is closely related to this.

I'm trying to book CBR-SIN-KUL with expiring KF miles. There's availability from most AUS ports but nothing shows up when I add in the CBR leg. I can book CBR - BNE (for eg) on the KF "OTHER PARTNER AIRLINES" tab. Do I have to call KF to have it added?

From the other SQ thread.. you can't add a virgin flight to a SQ award

You kind of can... you can ticket the VA flight as a partner airline award ticket and then ticket the SQ flights as a SQ award ticket, on one PNR. That then allows VA to through check to KUL.
