Noise Cancelling Headphones

Ozbargain is completely legit. It's an awesome site, a few deals on here have come from over there, especially the wine ones.

I took the QC35 out for their first flight yesterday PER-SYD and they performed well. Almost too well however as if you are listening to your own device proir to take off, you could easily miss the PA announcements. I do not recall this being so much of a problem with the QC25 (but I did not do an apples versus apples comparsion).

The only real downside I have found so far is the supplied cable appeared to be a little short if you are fully reclined in J (and I assume F) and the airline socket is on your right (the cable then crosses your body from the left headphone). I am going to order a longer 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable for these occasions. The standard cable should be fine in Y and most other applications however.

Further, My QC25's one ear cup wasn't working and it was out of warranty. I took them to Premium Sound and they offered me to replace it for 200$.
So I took them to the bose store and they offered me an upgrade to the broken headphones for 120$. So Upgraded from QC25 to QC35 for just 120$.
Loving em!

You did well there. I had same problem with my QC25s and was just happy that Bose replaced them completely out of warranty. Didn't occur to me to go for the upgrade deal. I haven't actually unboxed the 25s, I wonder if I could do it? I'll have to think on this.

Yes. You can do that. But make sure its an official bose store and not any reseller. Bose guys are more than happy to help you upgrade to the QC35. Infact if you have an Amex, you would get it for just 90$ :)

I used QC35 today. 5hr flight. Not connected to AV but just kept on. Very happy with the purchase.

I see Lewis Hamilton has been rocking the QC35 at the last few F1 GP. I would hold that against the QC35 however.....

Agree with everything Pleb Status has stated - same issues in J EK 380

The cable supplied with the QC35 is approximately 250mm shorter than the fixed cable supplied on the QC25.

I have ordered a 1.5m long cable from eBay to supplement the standard cable (about 300mm longer than standard).

Qantas must believe there will be members buying this and other goodies from their store.

I bought some Bose QC 20 (in-ear) headphones. They cost $367 but they are terrific!

I have these and they have served me very well for 2.5 years!

I confess I noticed on ozbargain that the QC35s were on sale at Myer so I now have a pair of them too (well, will have a pair when they get delivered). I'm very much looking forward to getting rid of the wires.

And in the silver colour of course.

I used QC35 on weekend on 5-hour flight. Noise seemed to filter in when turning heads, L and R, so I took mine to Bose store yesterday. Staff reckon the pads may not have fully covered the ears. I'll try using them on next flight and if issue persists I will insist on replacement.
