Hi all

I recently flew SYD-HKG-JED (via Abu Dhabi) on CX and managed to get the old new business class - sadly on the way back I flew JED-DXB-HKG-SYD and got the regional business class :-|. It was a spectacularly unpleasant flight...

Looking at my next trip to JED in November I am trying to see if there is a way to guarantee getting the old new business class (lie flat coffins) HKG-xx_-JED but can only seem to see regional business class on the EF seat maps as it is showing:

xx - xx - xx

Rather than the:

x - x - x

That I would expect of old new business class - I don't expect to be able to get new new business class.

Any thought =s on how to avoid the regional business class?

Looking on the CX booking engine all flights are showing as 330 rather than 33B (old new business class) or 33E (new new business class) and I know they wont be flying 330 SYD-HKG...

Had a look through November and the seatmaps show only the 2 2 2 set up. A bit strange for the quite long trek to JED.

I wouldnt mind too much HKG-JED as I will generally have had a big sleep SYD-HKG but JED-HKG is a long flight and you really only get going ex-DXB and that is an evening flight essentially so I would want to sleep on that flight. I wont be choosing row 11 (front row) this time either...
