EBJ never had personal screens in the first place. I would suspect they are there to provide power for the iPads.

Ah, I always wondered how they charged them. That makes sense :)

Honestly I would just regard this as a flight that wasn't the best but nothing to get steamed about. As someone else mentioned they run out of choice in J too.

I'm really sorry you didn't have a nice flight (the downside of being a FFer is that you'll probably get more than your share of bad trips) but I hope you don't forget all the other flights were QF totally delivered. As much grief as we give QF, it's reasonably to expect that they'll get it wrong from time to time.

Re: Not happy Jan. QF 762 PER-MEL 22/8/16

Honestly I think you guys are being unfairly condescending.

What am I supposed to do in these instances? Suck it up? It's my fault because I was flying in Y?

I do not believe I was asking too much to be informed that my flight wasn't going to take off as expected, and that I would get the food and entertainment that Qantas advertise and I paid for.

I might as well have flown Tiger. I would have had pretty much the same experience, but I would have paid less and I would have expected it.

The problem is so many issues have been thrown together. The IFE box? Really? Most people don't have an ipad mini? Really? The struggle to make it fit into the holder. All interesting problems, but not something to complain about - they are just normal struggles.

I'm pretty sure you were told that the flight was delayed - I'm sure I read that in the OP.

I think you probably mean "Wouldn't get the food etc" But the thing is, you did get the food that was advertised - You got offered breakfast on a breakfast flight. Not having an option is poor, but do you seriously expect Qantas to reach out with the force to see if you're allergic? That's the point of special meals - To allow you to tell Qantas that you can't eat the cereal. The quality of special meals is entirely subjective, so you'll have no disagreement from me of that point.

Finally, not being offered a drink - did you ask for a drink/water at any stage? Push the call button, would be my solution. Get up and go for a walk to ask for a drink.

The delay is really poor, I get that. But most of the other things are entirely predictable or are known about travel.
