Skipped the offer this time although very tempting.... need to convince Mrs Paddy we should travel more.
Mind you I wish seats on QF booked through AAdvantage become available at the same time as through QF... but that's off topic :)

Yes, well I decided that my partner needed a few points just last minute this morning...

All of my points came though within 24 hours. Glad I purchased them now I see there is no special offer for March.

aa doesn't typically have consecutive offers. they maybe have something like four or five a year.

That sounds ok MEL-Traveller as I will need two second shots.

note you are limited to buying 40K a year however (excluding bonuses. The limit is generaly increased to 60k per year, but that usually happens in December each year. This time they did it in Jan, so essentially back-to-back with the December offer)

Managed to get myself one lot of points, and a friend also, courtesy of some cash his way. Now to decide whether or not F to LHR in Nov is for me. . .

why wouldn't you? the point difference is so insignificant!

anyone else have a issue when it comes to paying for the flight? i am trying to do it online and cant pay for it? is it something to do with using a ozzie credit card?

if you are doing an award booking on line - you need to leave off the postcode (there is a message saying non-US/Canada do not put zip or postcodes in). Otherwise if you are still having a problem you can call their web assistance line. (Iwas prepared for them to tell me I'd have to pay via BNE, but they are fine with AU credit cards it seems now.)
