Hi all,

Just read the email update (e-news) from QF and theres a little side note about being able to book award flights on partner airlines online, after May 25th.

This is good news, so we wont have to pay the 2500 pts to call any time we want to book something other than standard QF. Fingers crossed they'll add AA to the list of partners soon. Anybody have any idea why they're not there already? Does it have something to do with Sabre/Amadeus booking system incompatibilities?

James

Yes, it will certainly be the fact that AA use Sabre as their GRS. I think all the ones listed except CX use Armadeus, which is probably what makes it easier for Qantas to include.

It will be much better when AA can be added to the list.
