Hi
I joined this forum while ago, but haven't introduced myself. I've been flying for about 40 years (as you can guess by my avatar) but, apart from a stint of "tour leading" in the 80s, I've always had to pay my own way. My wife introduced (corrupted?) me to flying the pointy end of the plane after her company flew her in J MEL - NYC a few years ago. Recent trans Pacific flights have me at Gold status, I have about 250,000 points which I'm looking forward to best utilising with the help of the forum. I've already spent many hours reading the forums and am starting to get my head around best use of points, status credits and upgrades. Many thanks to those who've contributed so generously - the information is invaluable.

Looking forward to it: I met this lovely lady many years ago who worked for TAA and introduced me to such terms as 10%, sub-load etc. I was looking forward to sampling some of these delights when we married, but only a few months after the honeymoon she changed jobs away from the travel industry. Aaaargh! :D
