SERIOUSLY impressive! Super hip, almost as if it's a trendy ultra lounge in town.

I'm totally looking forward to my flight to ADL this Saturday.

I've used the kerb-side entry in SYD and the two look very similar (as you would expect).

Keep it up Virgin.

Is there a date for the opening of the revamped SYD Lounge?

It's worth noting that it doubles as the MEL Priority Pass lounge as well, presumably one of the nicer ones at that.

My next flight out of MEL is on the 3rd of June (alas in the morning). Flight hasn't been booked yet, so I will ask my travel arranger to make sure it's on DJ so I can check it out

Same here. Will have to see what scope there is for ramping up to Velocity Gold otherwise.

I've copped a lot of flack for this one, but was nevertheless glad to see this little tidbit:

Virgin Australia's barista service is open whenever the lounge is (unlike Qantas, which limits its fresh-brew service to 11am in the Qantas Business Lounge and 9.30am in The Qantas Club).

See Qantas? It's getting the small things right that make the difference, not self-congratulatory co-branding.

Possibly the most important question of all: what are the opening times of the bar? I have a stupid o'clock departure to ADL on Saturday morning. Any possibility of having a bubbly brekky in the lounge?

Very Impriessive. I like the modern open design with LED lighting. I give it a thumbs up!

The only bad thing is, once you leave the lounge, your still in that horrid terminal.... I'm sure it'll be improved soon..

I am a sucker for this sort of design, and I thought QF's J SYD lounge was nice.

Look forward to trying it soon.
