Number of Reward seats on a 737 Flight

Just wondering if anyone has a rough guide on number of award seats on a VA 737 Intl flight. I'm trying to do an upgrade on VA SYD-DPS and as of now 2 of 8 seats are booked. What are the chances of them releasing more? Travel date end of May

Also considering anyone can upgrade on this flight. Do VA WP/SG get any priority in the waitlist?

In relation to you second question, I have never wait listed so I cannot say. I have seen no relevant documentation.

As for your first, it depend on how many revenue seats they think they'll sell.
