They must have forgotten to change the info in that folder.
On both my flights they didn't plug Europcar, and only coming home did they mention Velocity. There was no mention of the Lounge on either flight as well.
Coming back there were some crew being repositioned to Sydney, and they even paid for their food. One of the guys went and made himself a coffee, and gave the money to the FA whe he came back. I always wondered whether the pilots had to pay, but I guess they do, after what I saw today.

G'day everyone,

Just seeking advice on seat selection on DJ675 SYD-PPP (Proserpine).
For a trip with my wife (first anniversary), to the Whitsundays.

It is a sale fare, so I'm unsure what seats will be blocked from DJs web checkin.

Should I just try to book fows 2-5? I thought this flight used an Airbus, but really don't know. Couldn't find any reference to this flight on the boards.

PM or e-mail if you can help! Thanks!

Hi BiziBB.

All Virgin Blue flights are operated by either Boeing 737-700 or 737-800 aircraft. The former has 24 rows of seats, the latter 30 rows of seats. Just check the number of rows displayed during web check-in to determine if you are on a -700 or -800.

If you have purchased a sale fare, it is most likely that rows 1-10 will not be available to you during web check-in as they will be blocked for higher classes of fares.

The seats with the most room are at front left, but as mentioned these will be blocked. The difference is about an inch, so you might not notice a big difference anyway depending upon the length of your legs.

If you want to sit near an exit, then allocate yourself a seat in the back row as DJ usually loads/unloads from the front and rear of the plane. If you want extra legroom, $30 per head will buy you an exit row in the middle of the aircraft.

Thank you Yada Yada,
I booked the aisle and middle seats in row 2, and noticed row 15 is blocked.
If all bulkhead/exit seats are unavailable on web checkin, maybe we can score row 1 seats if they are free on the day.

Thanks for the info, at least I now know 3x more than before :)

You can indeed do this. I was sitting in 2C a few weeks back and 1A-B-C were all empty. The FA invited us to move once the door was closed.

Bear in mind though that row 1 seats have a smaller tray table in the arm rests, and the arm rests are fixed in position (non-movable), so they are not quite as comfortable, and you have no seat pocket to store anything. The leg space is of course great but on longer flights you may find a few pax standing around in front of you waiting to use the loo.
