Okay, 'fess up... which AFFer is this?

Yes the blog is funny but something just doesn't gel.Yes the fellow is a WP,goes on mileage runs but the figures given suggest that either he doesn't know the QFF SCs earning table of by heart so hence not an AFFer, or plainplumpspinster has a very bad memory suggesting she might not be telling the whole truth.
Doing my detective work she seems to hail from MEL(isn't that where you live Lawlass).Isn't the MEL J lounge the only one you enter by walking through the J lounge(second post re Barton).So he did a run MEL-CBR-SYD-HBA-MEL-CBR-MEL.He said it cost points and earn't SCs.Therefore an ASA.So first which AFFer would fly SYD-HBA when you can go SYD-MEL-HBA for just a couple of thousand points and earn twice the SCs.
So he said his MR cost 30000 points and earnt 150 SCs.Impossible-A JASA SYD-MEL-HBA would cost around 30000 points but only 80 SCs.If he did the whole MR as a JASA it would cost a lot more points and earn 240SCs.Any AFFer worth his salt would know that instantly.
So either Barton is not one of us(sorry Tony but even you would know more than Barton).Or plainplumpspinster is an older forgetful woman or just making it all up.Which brings me back to my theory-she is the AFFer and deliberately making mistakes to put us all off.:idea:

Depends where you're at. For example at the recent FT SIN DO we talked about such wondrous events and indeed someone commented that it was nice to be able to talk about them without being thought strange.

Actually a true AFFer would know that CBR[-]A[/-]-SYD-HBA earns 100SC and costs the same (at least as a classic award) as SYD-MEL-HBA that earns 80SC.

But I didn't use CBR-SYD-HBA as my example just SYD-HBA.Why earn 60 SCs when you can earn 80 for just a couple of thousand points + an extra lounge visit.And CBR-SYD-MEL-HBA still earns more SCs.
Of course a true AFFer would not start his mileage run at a bank.

True, but the guy flew from MEL to somewhere to start his run. CBR is the obvious choice if going to HBA and trying to maximise points. I'd agree if he started in SYD.

I agree with drron, and reckon the blog was written by an AFFer with a few deliberate factual errors to put us off. My +1 read it, and said a non AFFer would not remember all the details mentioned in the blog. I also believe this is the work of a female, with Lawlass being my main suspect

It could not be me. I would not waste valuable points on mileage runs and would not waste money on a Centurian card.

I do wonder what the lady looks like though. I always love how they point out flaws in the men they date, yet equally sure the bloke could easily point out many flaws too.
