OLCI for Trans Tasman. Is it available Currently?

Can one currently On Line Check In for Qantas trans Tasman flights?

Any experiences?

Can it be done Ex Australia but not ex New Zealand? Or vice versa?

I couldn’t check in earlier today (returning from CHC to SYD, it’s complicated), but it seems it was due to the flight being oversold, and I’ve been switched.

I wasn't able to OLCI in either direction last month.

I went across at the end of April and was able to AU-NZ but ended up being stopped at the boarding gate and asked had I been to Perth in the last 14 days. I was unable to check in online on the way back.

Worked for me on the weekend.

Online and mobile check-in has worked both ways however when departing New Zealand airports you're required to have a paper airport printed boarding pass (at least that was the case in CHC and ZQN).

From Australia, you can still use mobile boarding passes, and provided you're traveling with carry on only then it's possible to go directly to the gate.
