OLCI - is it really 24 hours before flight?

To avoid starting a new thread I've revived this one as it's only a bit over a month old.
A couple of things - when you get the email from Qantas (Prepare for flight...) and then you click the link in the email do you always get the annoying "Start over" screen? Kind of pointless as if you "start over" (hate that expression, so American :p should be "Start again" (well I really haven't got much to complain about...) and anyway it's easier to go straight to the login screen.

Another thing - it's easy to print out your boarding passes at home on the printer but what do you do in a hotel? I do OLCI but then don't print as I can't but at least I can play around with seat selection. Then I do it on the machine in the airport which never can find my booking when I swipe my card so I have to give it all the info. Some conflict I guess.

I can't say I've ever had this problem. I normally OLCI, then print out using the quick check kiosk or just ask at the QP desk; nice and easy!

With no available printer I copy the .pdf e-ticket to a USB drive in case I find a chance to print it.

Otherwise, it's Quick-check to a check-in desk.

Most hotels I have been to have a business centre, or free access to a dedicated terminal for boarding pass printing.
Failing that, off to find the nearest place with internet access.
