Currently widely available across the year. Failing with multiple cards tried, rang the call centre who said there is currently a payment gateway issue but he could book over the phone for a fee. Hmmm .. it's either working or it's not?

Anyway, for anyone else wanting to book best days to fly on are a Wednesday or Sunday.

Can book on Expedia and Opodo for about $200 more per person return.

and just to add that Oman Air are very good!

Only issue with this fare for me is getting to KUL, with MH not an option.

Credit to WY and EY only AFAIK.

And yes, 787-9 both ways so Apex Suite.

Can book over the phone to get around the use of international card issue but they can't access the website promo fares so they come in circa $100 more expensive per person.

Alright, well discovered a possible trick by accident. FB Snr tried the booking again as stuck on hold for a while (FYI trying to find the Aussie number on their website is like trying to find gold ........ i.e., not easy, so here it is 1300 730 484); this time it went through booking on their website.

The only thing that was different compared to all previous attempts was that the phone number was left with the Omani country code. Perhaps that's the little trick to booking online?

Booking all confirmed and seats selected.

I'm WY Gold and have flown them extensively. They are basically a good airline, and as has been mentioned you can only credit to WY or EY.

The hard and soft product is pretty good, but I wouldn't book them again as they really stuffed me around with getting a refund for covid related cancelled flights (took 2 years), and they are quite hopeless with schedule changes and IRROPS.

And, at the moment, there are competitive fares on other airlines.

I have likewise found their product to be excellent but any problems such as cancellations and they are a nightmare to deal with. I will gladly fly with them again as their product is wonderful but it’s always in the back of my mind that if something goes wrong it will be a complete mess

The same is true for any ME airline though in fairness.

Oman Air has been an ABSLOUTE NIGHTMARE.
Booked one way revenue fares to Europe at $3,400 each and they cancelled the leg from KUL - Muscat.
Have phoned Australia call centre 4 times - no answer - left message - no reply.
Still do not have alternative flight confirmed - travelling next week
Be warned!!

No idea if this email is still valid but used in a few years ago and very responsive [email protected]

I don’t think their sydney office is actually an office, but a general sales agent?

I called their Oman call centre (calling card) and was answered in less than a minute. Not the cheapest of places to call but might be worth it for the leave of mind? Alternatively they might have a proper office in Paris that would be cheaper to call.

I called the UK number (free on my phone plan) and the Oman office answered. They couldn't do anything other than say that ticket office in India, who can make the changes, would call me back.

Also discovered KUL <-> CDG/ZUR on Turkish Airway on similar price
