The UK number should put you through to the (fairly useless) call centre.I called the UK number (free on my phone plan) and the Oman office answered. They couldn't do anything other than say that ticket office in India, who can make the changes, would call me back.
I've had several experiences with them. On one occasion when there was a schedule change and they put me on a flight a day later (MXP-MCT). I called and asked for that to be changed to LHR-MCT. The initial response was that we can't do that, but without notice a couple days later I got a new ticket for LHR-MCT.
On another occasion I was told that I could not get a refund for a flight they had cancelled, but several months later a full refund showed up, again without notice.
So you may be lucky.
