It should be OK. Awards show up on AAdvantage but awards I picked at random in June 2016 all travel from TXL to KEF via VIE (and also via VIE KEF to TXL).Does anyone know if it’s possible to fly from KEF to TXL or DUS using OW Award AirBerlin? Qantas system doesn’t show KEF at all which is very frustrating…

Hi guys
is it possible to fly from Taiwan - Hong Kong - Melbourne - Sydney to get back home on the last leg of the trip? Or does this break the rules somehow as I am "overshooting" the origin point.
Thanks
I would check your dates on AA first (it's free to join) and then feed the flight numbers to QF. If QFF don't see direct flights from KEF to TXL they may assume there is no availability.

Well done. DOG is a new airport code for me. I hope you will have time to write a trip report on your return.
Thanks grussellt, I actually just booked my first Y OW Award.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone providing such great advice in this thread. Big shout out to vetrade who is always generously provides his advice.
Looks like a very interesting trip - some cool destinations. How long for?
Thanks JohnM! Most likely 8-10 months. Depending on money
Hopefully I can make some cash on the road to help stem the bleeding. This is mine and my girlfriend's big RTW trip, I guess I should do some 'growing up' when I get back.
Just trying to evaluate how many MR points I need to transfer to do a OW RTW J fare. Is there a definitive amount of points to do a westbound biz journey around the world? I've read somewhere that 288,000 is the right number, but the Qantas calculator comes up with 345,000 which sounds too much?
