QF has always been P for First Award, in my memory.
I recall Z as QF Y+ award...your list seems to predate Premium Economy though...

I've had QF First awards issued by AA that were 'Z'.
AA issue their own codes, even for QF awards. By airline specific I mean QF issuing QF awards. Not another airline issuing QR awards

For AA (through AAdvantage), they issue as per below, incl on QF Classic Award flights
Z: First class MileSAAver award on three-cabin aircraft
U: Business/domestic first-class MileSAAver award on two-cabin aircraft
X: Premium economy MileSAAver award
T: Economy MileSAAver awards

You may be correct and looking at EF A, F and Z are recorded as F codes for JL.

JL Z class has been re-purposed into an economy class now.

Here's the current list of classes in use for each QF partner in order of highest to lowest cabin:

Does no OW airline fly form PER to South Africa direct? Qantas bookings sends me back via SYD or MEL.
If not, what would be the best shortest stage? PER-DOH
The only likely airlines to fly direct would be airlines based in either Australia or South Africa. There is no OW carrier based in South Africa, and Qantas is the only OW carrier in Australia and as you have discovered, they do not fly direct from Perth.

The shortest route PER-DOH would be the direct flight operated by Al Qataria. Note that Doha is not in South Africa.

Could anyone with OWE or OWS status have a look at PER-MXP for next Nov and tell me if they see anything other the economy on Qatar please?

Depending on you ideal date it could just be that the flights are not yet available.

I can see QF/BA and QF/AY and QF/CX combinations on 29 Oct

@madrooster is there any reason why airlines cannot just adopt a common approach to reward fare buckets codes across the carriers.

Oneworld doesn't mandate particular RBDs to be used. I think *A do but their commercial RBD structure is more of a mess than oneworld... so it goes both ways.

I am doing some dummy searches for OWA trip towards the end of next November.
One flight is from EZE to ZRH and the only way I can find to search it is on 2nd flight on a multi- city. Otherwise EZE is not recognised.
Any suggestions.

This is not unique to EZE.

I get around it by entering a single dummy flight as my first one - MEL-CMB some time early next year seems to work for almost any date - and then enter the real flight I am searching in flight 2. The dummy flight needs to have availability or the search crashes - and obviously needs to be well before the date of the real flight you are looking for. Then when you want to search for another flight, click "Change Search", leave the dummy flight unchanged and add new details for the second flight.

Does that make sense? If not, I can try to rephrase it.

Thank you. The EZE - ZRH will be my first booking due to IB releasing seats before Qantas( Syd - SCL). How do I make the EZE - ZRH online , with it being the 2nd sector on the Multi-city?

I presume you could just book both the dummy sector and the actual one - then when you make your first addition to the itinerary you just cancel the dummy sector. You would need sufficient points and dollars to cover the dummy flight until you make the changes, and you'd need to make the dummy flight far enough in the future that you'll be making changes to the itinerary before it departs...

How many seats?

If you just want 1 seat, I can see business on Qatar Airways currently on 2, 7, 9 & 14 November. PER-DOH-MXP.

Thanks for that. I could only see Y seats when searching for 1.

Yes I was seeing all sorts of combinations on the 29th but nothing but QR Y from the 30th on. Thanks for looking.
