yes saw that too, thanks. as well as Jetstar from SIN to CGK.There's often reasonable OW availability between SYD and CGK - e.g. though KUL. May be worth looking at

Can't use jetstar - they're not in the OW Allianceyes saw that too, thanks. as well as Jetstar from SIN to CGK.
i dont know anything about that, but in Qantas redemptions i can book a flight on Jetstar from SIN>CGKCan't use jetstar - they're not in the OW Alliance
This is a OWA thread - it's only about using OW airlines. Qantas has many other non OW airline partners on which you can book reward seats with QF points but you cannot incorporate them into a OWA booking. You need to read up on the fundamentals of this award type, otherwise you will just keep running into problemsi dont know anything about that, but in Qantas redemptions i can book a flight on Jetstar from SIN>CGK
Yes- I have done it .Is it possible to add a Y flight to a J OWA booking. I have done this in the past but 2 operators in Fiji have said this is not possible. They say all flights have to be on the same class. I have had so many diffrerent stories from these people and people who promise to call back but never do. I feel my option left is to email Stephanie Tully.
The rule is:
14.5.6 Where mixed-class travel is booked in a oneworld Classic Flight Reward, the whole Itinerary will be calculated using the Qantas Points level for the highest class booked.

I spoke to 5 operators today. All told me I can't add a Y flight to a J booking and none would even try doing it.Yes I always have regional Y flights at the start and the end of my J bookings
Unfortunately, you have been speaking to the wrong people. They sound clueless.I spoke to 5 operators today. All told me I can't add a Y flight to a J booking and none would even try doing it.

The Qantas call centre should be the right people. As NB it is verboten for me to speak to HBA or AKL CCs. How many more times can I call and get the same reply? 11 calls in 2 days. I literally call wait on hold get the wrong info hang up and call again. I've emailed Stephanie Tully on a number of matters but not response yet.Unfortunately, you have been speaking to the wrong people. They sound clueless.
You need to find a friend or relative with status (preferably WP+) who can make the call, explain that they are calling on your behalf and then hand the phone over to you.The Qantas call centre should be the right people. The public schedule may not have been updated yet. For example, QF are notorious for zeroing a flight, meaning it is going to be cancelled, well before it is publicly cancelled.I notice QR849 is still flying to original schedule
Can most definitely be done. My OWA just got ticketed last night, almost all business class but one economy and one premium economy flight in there too.I've just been told by a 3rd operator that it can't be done. I read out the rule and they still said they can't do it. I hope to draft an email to Stephanie this arvo.
Looks a great tripCan most definitely be done. My OWA just got ticketed last night, almost all business class but one economy and one premium economy flight in there too.
From the first phone call to the last was a 48 hour period. In that time I spent 20 hours on hold or speaking with them. First problem was it not capping out the points, even though the route was within the rules (as evident by it being ticketed eventually). Second problem they couldn't calculate the taxes. Third problem was a payment issue on their end, I think maybe they had to redo the taxes but kept saying payment issue. Refused to get off hold until it was sorted but they would come up with excuses to get me off the line. Made maybe ten calls in total.
Anyway all done now, absolutely exhausting experience, I won't be back to Qantas for anything that can't be booked via the website.
Total taxes for the below trip was around AU$1200 per passenger for reference for anyone.
The worst part about this story is that, if any airline makes any change to any of your flights, QF may fail to issue you a new ticket, forcing flights to drop off the ticket and requiring you to start the entire process again.Anyway all done now, absolutely exhausting experience, I won't be back to Qantas for anything that can't be booked via the website.
Touch wood. The worst part about this story is that, if any airline makes any change to any of your flights, QF may fail to issue you a new ticket, forcing flights to drop off the ticket and requiring you to start the entire process again.
Yes. Not that I know of — something like CheckMyTrip may help, but I don't think it definitely notifies you of all changes. No.Do I need to be monitoring my flights daily in the Qantas app to ensure they are still there? Or is there some other app/site that is better? If any changes will I always be notified right away via email etc?
Yes. Not that I know of — something like CheckMyTrip may help, but I don't think it definitely notifies you of all changes. No.
Yes CheckMyTrip helps but it doesn't notify all changes or cancellations but it has notifyied me of some before QF has.Yes. Not that I know of — something like CheckMyTrip may help, but I don't think it definitely notifies you of all changes. No.
