I have called 3 times today to have a UL flight reinstated and each occasion it has dropped off after 1 hour.
I have also emailed the new reward ticket escalation address, so we,ll see if they are fair dinkum.
Yes, you should be charged 5k + taxes. That's right - my 318k capped multi city reward booking has 1 leg in Economy and 2 in Premium Economy. All the rest are in business.
My partner has exactly the same flights, but just all her seats are business (so essentially I lose out because not all mine are in business but yet I've paid the same amount of points, but less tax - which I'd be willing to make up for should I find business seats).
Considering it was capped at 318k after picking the 5th leg and I've met all the conditions of the OWA - if I was able to find a free business seat on the PE legs (I'm not too fussed about the Economy leg as that's only 2 hrs) and call up to change to business - I 'should' only be charged the 5k points change fee + taxes, and not the 55.8k points + taxes that was quoted to me?
Yes, you can change as many times as you like. The 5k change fee is for every time it's reticketed.Anyone aware if you can change a OWA that hasn’t been ticketed?
Added a flight today in economy today due to the first agent telling me they can’t add flights to my existing PNR. By the time I called back the business class seat was gone. Want to try and remove the economy and add business when it becomes available tomorrow.
Did the ring around to try get it ticketed today, 8 calls later been told it’s on the ticketing list.
Yes. You can use a search tool like ITA Matrix.Prolly a silly question, but is there any way to see the taxes and fees for an award booking? I have had money taken for my OWA on at least four occasions and I no longer have confidence that they have got them right. The QF documentation e-ticket makes no mention of taxes and fees. and when I look at the e-ticket generated by the MH website it shows payment as zero dollars which is obviously incorrect.
Only 8 months out in my case. I've kicked off sending multiple emails to the executive team again - this simply isn't good enough. Maybe I'm too naive for thinking anything would change.Yes, that's been said to me a few times. I don't know if it is accurate or not though. One time an alternate route was found on the same day and the others seats were available to be added to an existing itinerary few days later. So I don't know if the justification is correct as I managed to get the desired outcome eventually.
In these instances I was looking in the hours after the flights became visible in the booking engine (ie nearly 12 months out).
Yes. With both AY and JL - today and in the past.Anyone heard of this before? AY991 showing available online, but multiple agents saying they can't add it to my OWA as it's only available for new bookings. View attachment 315433

Yep, plenty.Anyone heard of this before? AY991 showing available online, but multiple agents saying they can't add it to my OWA as it's only available for new bookings.
Yes. With both AY and JL - today and in the past.
In some cases it’s phantom availability.
But sometimes with JL it’s been system related.
In one instance with JL a HBA agent couldn’t see availability that was showing online and via EF (when it covered JL). The agent “went in via a different screen” and was able to add the flights in that way.
HUACA.
I had a call from a NZ agent this evening, and he said it's something to do with AY "revenue control". The seats are definitely available (more than 5), but only for new bookings. Seems odd that if I were happy to cancel and re-book, I could secure the seat...Yep, plenty.

Yes, odd. And frustrating after you think you've located a suitable/great flight to add.....to be stymied by computer says noI had a call from a NZ agent this evening, and he said it's something to do with AY "revenue control". How much of a change was there to the departure time? If under an hour general understanding is it doesn't necessarily need to be reticketed. That being said I've had changed of 20mins and had it reticketed.JL changed my HEL-HND flight (updated to reflect avoiding Russian airspace it seems) and I received an email to accept the change in MMB, which I accepted. CMT shows the new flight with e-ticket number (unchanged from the previous one) but Qantas has not issued a new e-ticket. Is the consensus that this is OK? Or do I need Qantas to issue a new e-ticket.

And QRYep, plenty.

Change of arrival time usually requires ticket revalidation not reissue. Had a similar experience about a month ago with a JAL flight from FRA-NRT. No new ticket and everything is still in place. What is the reservation status of the booking on the JAL website? If a new ticket is pending, it probably won't say ticketed.JL changed my HEL-HND flight (updated to reflect avoiding Russian airspace it seems) and I received an email to accept the change in MMB, which I accepted. Same thing happened to me with a LHR-HND flight. Fairly satisfied everything is okay given the ticket numbers are still in place everywhere I've checked (CMT, RJ, etc).JL changed my HEL-HND flight (updated to reflect avoiding Russian airspace it seems) and I received an email to accept the change in MMB, which I accepted.
