Oneworld Lounge Access - need to make sure I'm using the best/correct lounges!

Oops, missed that one. Quite a few posts on here suggest that it's pretty good and worth visiting.
It has the best self-serve whiskey selection I have seen in any lounge. And an even better selection served at the whiskey bar!
On another note, do any of the above lounges require convincing that I'm allowed access due to me being emerald? I see some more posts with people saying sometimes it's worth carrying a print out from the website to show that I am infact allowed in!
All you need for access to most OneWorld lounges is your status printed in your boarding pass. However, some lounge agents may also want to see your FF card (e.g. BA at London).

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, much appreciated. Looks like the only slight changes I need to make are visiting the BA lounge in T3 at Heathrow and the JAL F lounge in Narita.

Also looks like the BA F lounge in T5 should do the trick whilst I wait 5 hours for my flight onto Rome...

Cant wait to try these F lounges out!

Just arrived at JFK airport today, proceeded through checkin fine then made my way to the BA lounges. Presented my BP and my guests BP, and was then pointed towards the business class lounge. I didn't question it straight away because I thought perhaps she just made a mistake. Went into the lounge and seated my guest, then went back to the front desk to ask why I wasn't directed to the first lounge.

Lady at the desk said being oneworld emerald I wasn't entitled to access the first class lounge. Now just as she said this about 10 people walked in behind me, but I thought bugger this I'm going to push it. She said in "all her experience she never has allowed oneworld emerald access to the first class lounge, and I was mistaken" so I kept pushing it with her more in front of everyone (and by this stage hoping like hell I was right) until she finally gave in and said "well why dont you just ask the lady next to me" for which I did and she said "sure of course you do, go right in"

Hopefully this wont be the experience at every lounge. I actually couldn't believe how rude this lady was.

The BA lounge dragons have a reputation of being difficult and often not knowing the OW rules - I personally haven't experienced this though. I have only ever had adequate or better service from the BA dragons.

I think she was doing you a favour! :p

No, just joking, but the JFK BA First Lounge at T7 is probably one of the worst BA First lounges around in terms of facilities/F&B.

So much so, that BA do not even send their First Class passengers there ...

Yeah it was terrible. I would have gone back to the business lounge straight away but I thought given I'd pushed the point I should stay there.

Thinking about it now it would have been funny to walk in, turn right around and go straight back to the business lounge.

Sitting in the first lounge at LHR now, no issues at all getting in.

Yes, for First Pax only of course.

Indeed, and don't you try and enter with a pesky OWE card or you'll get the Dragon Breath warming you up... ;)

At JFK BA do have a OWE lounge - being the LHS of their lounge. Very basic, but suitable enough.

I can't believe the story about the agent not knowing the difference between J and F lounges. (And no, this isn't a knock at the OP). The Dragon really needs to be drag(on)ed out and retrained. BTW, last time I visited the BA lounge at JFK (A little more than a week ago), the staffer welcomed me, but never indicated where I should go. Having been there before I turned left and wandered straight into the F lounge. Perhaps it was the same dragon?

It was my 'home' lounge recently, and yeah I do have a soft spot for the T5 F lounge. The buffet is reasonable, although reminiscent of a school/uni cafeteria type setup. Still, the food options were the best I've seen from BA only lounges, so there isn't much to complain about. Now that Strawberries'n'cream are in fashion in the UK, I really loved the way they added that to their fridge. Mmm. Strawberries and Double cream!

Well I'm happy to say no other issues getting into lounges, all very easy.

Sitting in JAL first lounge in narita now, quite satisfied after getting stuck into the beef curry multiple times.

JAL staff seem to eager to help, very nice touch. However it was funny watching the little japanese lady carrying my 30kg bag to the check in counter and refusing to let me do it/help her.
