Do i have to actually cut the paper to make it look like a small sqaure boarding pass or just dont cut anything ?

And also would i need colour on my printer? my colour is empty and only have 1 new black ink cardrge only but maybe i need colour ortherwise qantas can not scan the paper correctly. Not sure there.

No need to cut the page. The whole A4 page is still valid.

Black'n'white is appropriate for most printers (see the FAQ at the Qantas demonstration site). If your Boarding Pass fails to scan for whatever reason, the friendly staff at the gate will just type in some numbers from your boarding pass and they'll let you be on your way.

If you want one of the magnetic stripe boarding cards, then you need to ask the staff at the check-in desk to get one.

preciated your help

Yeah these ink things are quite expensive the colour ink is flashing on my ip4200 canon printer saying very little left to use. So i went to buy the black colour which is the primary base colour by all means. So ill just print it in high quality but only in black colour letters.. Dosnt need to be red on the logo and such well hope not :)

actually im abit lazy to fine this part out. When exactly is 24hours time before departer? i travel 2nd of may at 718AM so whats 24hours? what time is the start check online which of course would be a thursday but at what time on thursday.

It is 24 hours before your scheduled departure time. I have no idea what QF flight goes from Brisbane to Melbourne at that time, but your earliest check in time would be 718AM on Thursday.

so online checking if your going to travel on friday at 718AM and wish to check in well in advance that 24hour routine then it will begin at 718AM on thursday which makes 1 day before you travel. I get it now thanks mark.

I still am in need your help.

I want to buy these TSA approved locks.. But not sure either i should buy the ones with no key or the ones with key with the TSA Approved padlocks.. there are different range there.

I always rely on the key rather then trying to fine out how the 3 combination scroll numbers would actually work. for example my bin would be 100 how would i make it to lock it and close it even tho the scroll thing is actualy visible to others and they might see the numbers 100 on it.

Ok im wanting the cheapest. Prob go to a luggage store. If any luck with discounts...

Is the key better then the scroll numbers?

Im sure they are acceptable to put them on my luggage and carrying on bag even tho im only just going to melb and return from brisbane.

I would just skip the locks a waste of time... if you really want just use some colored zip ties.
Of course if it makes you feel better thats ok i just dont see the need.

Don't bother with TSA locks for Australian domestic travel. Either use the locks you already have, or use the cable ties trick as discussed elsewhere here.

thanks posties ive just realise ive posted my wrong msg about padlocks onto this one accidently. No comments but thanks for the tip aniways. Best not to go too crazzy on approved locks.. Its not like im carring molds of drugs in it.

I am not sure where you are getting 718AM from, as there is no flight at that time. It is 24 hours prior to scheduled departure of the plane. It is not based on which train you are catching, what time you set your alarm clock to or anything other than the scheduled departure of the aircraft.

I understood. No problem and thank you Oz mark. sorry it should be at 650am i think from what ive recall on the print out page.. Just dont have it with me here at the moment.
