I hope it was simply the case that he was travelling on the same PNR as munitalP, or there was no more QFF member to op-up.

That is very unfortunate. My op-up success rate has been at least one sector per long haul itinerary for the last 12-18 months. I don't know why you don't seem to get any. Maybe the route you frequent (mine have been all somewhere in Australia via SIN or HKG to/from LHR).

I do get a few op-ups although I have not had any op-ups this year. I would like to get op-ups a bit more frequently but can't be too greedy....
