I also noticed some of those ridiculous prices, I have given away about 30 sets of F and J PJs (QF, SQ and EK) on AFF, another 20 odd to others (outside of AFF) and have around 30 unused sets at home and around 5 sets that have been used once or twice. Maybe I should have disposed of them on AFF. Like a lot of other things I would suggest Covid is driving up the price, in the past QF J PJs had almost no value.
As one grateful recipient, thank you for the PJs

Na. And the cups with inward sides are terrible to drink out of as well!
That's so true - I thought it was just me until the man next to me on a flight raised it in conversation, and soon everyone around us was agreeing! Pretty to look at, but not very functional!

and zip bags (great for make up or jewellery when travelling).
I love the little amenities bags. I also use them for jewellery or make up, plus another one for medications for a trip. I've also used them for pencil cases, and to store all my bits and bobs of IT things - phone charger, USB drives, USB hubs, mini travel mouse etc. I think I might start a thread about this - see other people's good repurposing!

Agree, especially something special like this.

I had always rejected offers of PJs previously when flying, due to environmental reasons.

If I were to come across this thread before COVID-19, I would think that everyone here had lost their minds, the government must have poisoned everyone thru the water supply.

In these strange times however, I would have actually ordered a few for some of my friends; except I only found out about this today from AFF e-mail.

That's okie, thank you @Lat34

Prolly a year ago, I was trying my best to get my hands on some QF F/J cutlery. I searched eBay, but couldn't find the David Coon style cutlery ... I went to the extent of calling David Coon's studio in Sydney. No one answered and I left a bunch of voice mail, nothing happened ... so kinda left it at that ...

Does anyone know how to/where to buy David Coon's QF F/J cutlery from?

Have you tried a camping store or somewhere else that sells picnic ware?

If you've been told to reduce your holdings again, I hope you do another giveaway that I can take part in again 🙂 My stocks are low from not being able to travel and replenish obviously and I have an irrational affinity for EK slippers 🙂
Yea I got a pair of EK Slippers I use around the apartment since my replacement floating floor was installed.

Seems the floating floor really didn’t like water.... so much for “floating on water”

Pretty sure I gifted much everything i acquired of my last EK FLIGHTS - gosh that’s 10 months ago.. how Time flies when you’re flyin’ Time Airlines.... groans

Got my care pack today (we are on the NSW Central Coast), a pity we couldn't select a size for the PJ as L/XL is a bit large... ah well, will donate, the idea was more to have some fun, great idea

Me too! First time I flew Business (points upgrade) in a Dreamliner, I got an amenities pouch. It had the Aboriginal art painting of antennae on a hilltop and stars everywhere. Loved it so much I went hunting to see if it was possible to get a print of it for the wall; I'd never seen Aboriginal art that I liked, it always seemed to be diagrams of how to cut up animals! Polly Butler-Jackson is her name.

Couldn't find out how to buy it, or any of this lady's art, but while searching I found other "desert" artists whose art was amazingly affordable, so now I'm filling my house with original paintings, all by female Aboriginal artists. Every day brings another lot of gorgeous art to consider.

And I have that pouch and the one with the photo of a lady on a rock with her dress blurred in my handbag. The Aboriginal one has all my various bibs and bobs in it, and the photo one has my tools of trade: pencils, pens, lead replacements and string!

My hoard is running low and you are not Robinson Crusoe when it come to low stocks :(. I think I gave most of my amenity kits from the second half of last year to Buzzard earlier this year for his wine tour. At the time I thought nothing of it as there was a fair bit of work and personal travel on the cards and then.......I have not traveled since mid March so no restock of amenity kits, PJs, hotel sweeping, things are looking dire.

As for "an irrational affinity for EK slippers" during the the past 5 months of wfh I have been able to review and conduct some unscientific slipper tests ;). At some stage I may publish the results however at the moment the front runners for durability which includes the walking outside test - best all rounder EK F and Marriott (HK, not sure if they are all the same, I had given the others away), worst all rounder Conrad and QF F, notable mentions Shangri-la and Mercure (Sapporo) which were a surprise.

In 2020 I was expecting a start a few 'Free Stuff' posts, things started off well with the gift of WP, then the P1 F lounge passes fizzled out and ended up going to desperados trying to get out and back to AU. With depleted stock and I am not sure anyone would want them, some F and J lounge pass which most likely can not be used, free drinks vouchers for the Sydney Rydges Airport and some other stuff. Maybe I will run one last 'Free Stuff' and call it an end to 2020.

How lovely it must be to be able - so nonchalantly too - to get to First Class and Platinun One, both being far beyond my humble hopes.
I pay my own way, and have a few pairs of J pyjamas, but have found them of extremely limited use.

@Ekka I am assuming your post is directed at me, sure I may seem “so nonchalantly too” being a P1 and being up-graded to F at times goes hand-in hand, isn’t that what status is about. Most QF P1s I know or have met through AFF are either “C or E” level staff, are in partnership’s or are business owners and travel more than most. Also in most cases these individuals indirectly fund the QF WP or SG, so I am not sure what your issue is.

Yes, I had no idea that one had to watch the QF site night and day.
I'd ask Brabinger to keep an eye on things, but he may have to ensure Lady Fforbes-Hamilton is treated fairly.
I am sure Mr DeVere would be able to outsource the task.

Back on topic @Ekka, if you can provide me with a mailing address I will send you J PJ's and a J amenity kit. Sorry, no tim tams, almonds or tea.
