Hi all,

First time user of service.
So just checking on hopefully getting picked up and dropped off 4 times, outgoing Emirates(On QFF reward) incoming Etihad(VFF reward)

Can I have confirmation from those that have used the service if the following is correct and tips to make it work as it should(car and driver waiting!)

So provided the information on pickup home and leaving from Australia.
I can provide info of pickup at the other end and destination before leaving?
Do I need to provide a contact telephone number for the Chauffeur Drive on arrival of new country?

Can I book the Chauffeur Drive with the pickup location for return flight home before leaving Australia?
Do I need to provide a contact number for the Chauffeur Drive for pickup at overseas location for return flight home?

There was something about 48hrs before confirmation with the Chauffeur Drive required...they contacting me or them?

Regards

I have no experience with the Etihad service but for the EK/QF service:

You can enter your contact details, pick up address and time for each eligible flight through Manage My Booking.

In my experience, the CD service then contacts you 24-48 hours before the booked time, to confirm number of pax, number of bags, precise pick up time (which you can vary from that originally chosen) and pick up address.

Over to others for EH. :)

If used the Etihad service before. I can't quite remember but it is either done via manage your booking on the Etihad site or just the site.

You provide the details and get a confirmation email with booking reference. The service then contacts you directly to confirm time. For the pickup for departure they just nominated a time, was able to change that by contacting the service directly.

When using FF points on Etihad, you don't qualify for the Chauffeur Service. You have to be flying on a paid J ticket to be able to use the Chauffer.

Enirates allows you to book Chauffeur Drive both to and from airport with FF business booking. Find the Emirates PNR on your QF FF booking and do it via the Emirates website.

Is this a recent change? I did an Etihad trip at Christmas on points and also got chauffeur drive?

This is incorrect. Had Chauffeur Drive on Etihad 2 weeks ago on points redemption. Just call them with your Etihad PNR and they'll sort it for you and you'll receive an updated e-ticket from EY noting that it has been booked.

That's a relief - sitting here with a couple of chauffeur bookings with EY having used AA points for the flights. Looking forward to both.
