We are fine today, not 100%, but pretty good.

The Doctor has been and is quite happy with how we are, which is great. From talking to her and from reading it seems that our 7 day isolation cycle actually started yesterday. From there as soon as we are recovered and have the appropriate Doctors’ certificate we can catch a flight home.

That means we will plan to leave and fly out on Monday 31st Jan or maybe to add a slight degree of caution on Tuesday 1st Feb.

Unfortunately the flights get in late PM so probably a night needed in Melbourne.

any suspicions on how you guys caught it?
what if more members or your entourage test positive today or tomorrow?

No idea where from. There are the odd occasions when distancing is minimal though. eg ATMs.

Two of three have it and the Dr is comfortable with that.
If the third tests positive then the 7 days restarts without any requirement for further testing.

I hope that their cases ended well.
So far, everyone I know has fully recovered bar some have a bit of an annoying dry cough which won't go away.

Hopefully recovery is going well - I think you were lucky you know Fiji so well and have a great place to isolate. Can imagine others may not have been so fortunate.
Take care.

I am much better, Sue is fine and grandson needs a few more days but is progressing well.

They delivered a couch for the veranda yesterday (at our request) and are going shopping for lamb chops and a few other things for us for Australia Day tomorrow.

it's now Friday and we are all well so hopefully we are allowed out of isolation on Sunday after the doctor has seen us. We have left Monday spare in case of hiccups and plan to catch FJ931 on Tuesday afternoon. Brody and I will have a Dr certificate and Sue either a test or certificate depending upon the doctor. That gets us into Melbourne late Tuesday night and we’ll pick up the car and drive home Wednesday. Fortunately the new rules for entering Australia, that came into effect on Sunday 23rd are quite user friendly.

We are very glad we decided to stay here as the Covid management is almost faultless. We are at one end of the resort and pretty much by ourselves and we are looked after so well. Food deliveries from the Bar/Restaurant as needed and grocery shopping upon request. The manager went and bought us lamb chops for our Australia Day dinner. We are allowed out and I still walk the grounds for my 45 min/day but the area I walk in is restricted and I can't/don’t go near people.
