Outstanding service from Qantas

This thread made me email Qantas at long last to compliment the French crew we had on the A380. They were a delight. Probably helped I was still on a Paris high.

On a flight BNE-SYD-MEL I had back in September I had such an wonderful experience with one of the cabin crew (who clearly loved her job and it showed!) that I just didn't pass the compliment to the CSM but also wrote an email expressing my good experience.

I've now gotta write Avis a compliment for their Coolangatta staff helping me out this weekend with no fuss and complete ease when the weather turned everything to hell in a hand basket (actually QF was equally good as well but the Avis customer facing staff where superb!

Was back in the OOL lounge today for the first time in many years flying back to Melbourne via Sydney when the lounge Manageress called me by name...Went to the desk and was asked very nicely if I would change my pre-selected J seat to accomodate a couple...I had no problems with changing to 1C...Then the Lounge Manageress presented me with a wrapped bottle of Red as a thank you...Well I must say I was pretty chaffed by all this...so a very well done Qantas...In fact outstanding....As to were my 2 J flights...Very impressed and very satisfied

This is a transcript of my first post about a month ago - belongs in this thread as well

I fly about once a week domestically, usually with Qantas (last year was mainly with Virgin) I have to say that I have been very impressed with the onboard service I have received. Although I am usually at the back of the plane it seems that Qantas are really making an effort to improve the quality of their service. The flight attendants seem very happy and to be enjoying their work. On a recent flight to Brisbane for a family holiday my children were even invited up to the coughpit (after all the other passengers had exited) and were able to sit in the Captains chair. The Co-Pilot talked my son through handling the tiller and even set off the on board fire alarm. We were able to take pictures and it is a great memory for us.

You can read a lot of bad reviews about Qantas on the discussion boards - just thought I would write something positive.

I have flown about 10 additional legs since this post and my opinion hasn't changed

QF81 to ADL last week was exceptional... and email to QF sent.

I thought I would contribute to this thread as I fly a lot, and normally the service is okay, with nothing to complain about. Yesterday I flew from Sydney to Brisbane on QF548 and the crew could not have been more welcoming, pro-active, and helpful. They were not intrusive, but they seemed to do everything with energy and a great level of professionalism. This was the entire crew. You often get one member of a crew displaying these attributes, but rarely a crew of a 767. They made it a pleasure to fly!

Flew QF927 CNS to SYD tonight. Crew at front end of Y were very pleasant and appeared to be very happy doing what they did. No comparison to lowly Jetstar and, IMO, more competent and professional than VA.

My last seven trips with Qantas were good.
