I used some Qantas points on the weekend and I flew in economy.
Wanted to keep some for a rainy day.

I feel like I've been trying to break free but for various reasons find myself crawling back to QF CCs... Need to look more into the dragon I think.

Same here. I swore off using QF but then realised I couldnt ignore the nearly 200,000 points still there so now have 2 cards - 1 for QF points and the other for Krisflyer and I take it in turns to churn. The plan on the next overseas trip is to use QF one way and SQ the other.
