Overheard Pilot Discussion with Cabin Crew

On the contrary, it's not unusual to see the forward rows on a Crash 8 blocked for takeoff balance issues - followed shortly by the airborne scrum for the empty seats.

On a Beech 1900D I and someone else was asked to move a row forward by the pilot for balance as they were going load some additional freight due to the light passenger load, 6 pax out of 19 seats.
ATR-72 I have seen stands placed under them when deboarding due to balance issues.
At LHR when I flew OZ 747-400M (Combi) I noticed they had placed a stand under the tail due to balance issues as well.
By the way I think this thread was posted in the right forum and it gives an opportunity for discussion.

ISTR there is already reference to this in that thread.

Yeah, it's been discussed there before. I guess those old hands who have read all of that thread would question this one, because it seems to be highlighting what "everyone knows" (but only actually everyone who has read the pilot thread).

If you want endless repetition though, you should hit up the humour thread. Some jokes are in there 4-5 times!

I'm a newbie on this site. It's a bit off putting when you get comments like you did. I had no idea that the commercial carriers could tip!
Welcome to AFF TeeCee33.

I didn't know either that it was possible to tip a commercial carrier. I'm still struggling to understand how aircraft takeoff and stay in the air.
