Overview of all the Qatar Airways Lounges in Doha

I visited both a couple weeks ago. First I went to the older Mourjan lounge, had breakfast and went off to do the day tour of Doha since I was trying to not fall asleep and get into the time zone. When I came back, I went to the Garden lounge which was much prettier but a long walk from where my flight to SAW was departing. But it was nice to visit just once at least. Good lunch spread.

I much prefer the new Garden Lounge to the older Al Mourjain. The train is quite fast and the lounge is much less crowded, and if taking a flight to Europe many of the flights leave from that proximity. Well worth the visit if you are transiting for longer than 60 mins.

The trick at the Garden is to turn left (unless you want to sit down and eat). If just looking for a place to chill the equal size space but without the dining area etc is much easier to find somewhere to sit (it can also get quite busy during peak times).

Just checking if Qatar allow transferring of guest passes - I'm sure the answer is no but I have a friend from ADL DOH MAN to deal with his mother who has dementia and has just been fleeced out of thousands of pounds and I'd love to him into a lounge while he's in transit

They are strictly non transferable

Hi folks, would appreciate your advice here. I am planning a trip for the family BNE-CPH next year with QR. Travel party will be two adults and three kids, aged 11, 15, and 16. I understand that as a VA SG, I should get Gold Lounge access for myself, the 11yo and one other (according to VA website). Any idea how much they would charge for the other two?

I can see rates here, but no idea what constitutes "preferred" or how they define a child.

Any experience others have had with this would be appreciated. I won't even bother asking about the third party lounges in BNE and CPH! My main concern is transit. Thank you!

Did the Garden for the first time and was underwhelmed.
Was really busy and It seemed unless you lucked out and found seats backed by a divider that allowed you to see the garden yet blocked others you were in the scrum with everybody else without garden views.
It was really busy and first time around it is hard to find your bearings
Al Safwa on this current trip was good for breakfast and I love the way you just go up the escalators after check in and you are there. Being able to leave via internal escalator, even if it was to a bus transfer to plane, was excellent and makes the whole first class experience seamless.
Lanson Black as the champers is understandable considering the volumes they go through but detracts from the whole first class experience.
Al Mourjan main business lounge is terrific as well and perhaps from having been a few times I find much more enjoyable than the garden.
