OWE benefits on QF ticketed and earning flights with AA Exec Plat

So the only people "disadvantaged" are those with QFF status lower than that of another OW program.

Still doesn't stop anyone from completely changing the FF program and number as many times as they want, whether it be before they enter, or when they leave a lounge, or at any time before the flight.
I was thinking it was the other way around ... i.e. the only people "disadvantaged" are those with status in another *O program lower than that with QFF .

FWIW, I have all the QF SC's I "need" this "year" (which finishes Oct 31).

Any *O travel I may have in the next few months I would look to credit to my no status AA account while still using my QF WP benefits ... so yes, changing the Frequent Flyer number late in the caper would be on the cards.

Would there be similar issues accessing the Flounge when flying on an AA J award ticket as QF WP with no AA status? We've got some JAL flights next year that are AA award flights.

If they stick to the "must use QF status for entering a QF lounge" idea, then in say the SYD F lounge, not flying F and not a guest of an eligible pax:

Person who is QF SG and AA EXP does not get access.
Person who is QF WP and AA PLT does get access.

But as said earlier, just put whichever one gets you in the lounge (or what you want, eg. baggage allowance) and change on your way out.

I had this a couple of years ago with a dragon in the LHR T3 Galleries F lounge.. QF WP and AA PLT at the time.
"You need your WP number on the BP to have access"
"OK, put it in, then change it to the AA one, and let me in"
"I can't do that"
"If I come back on the way out and then change it to my AA number, will that be OK?"
"No problem"

What's that saying, half of the population are below the average?

I'm completely confused now. I also have all the SC's I need for QFF and from this point forward will be flying almost exlusively USA Domestic with AA. I want to start crediting all my flights to my no status AA Advantage account - will I be able to show my QF WP card to any of the OW domestic USA lounges and be granted access (even if my BP clearly shows I'm crediting my flights to AA)?

Should not be a problem ... the reductions discussed here relate to Qantas Elites usung Qantas status to access Qantas lounges - Qantas more restrive rules apply.

In your case as a Qantas Elite accessing a *O lounge (AA in this case), the less restrictive *O rules apply.

Being award tickets there's no earn anyway so you may as well put your QF WP number (highest *O status) into the booking.

This thread is about accessing lounges using status from one *O scheme while crediting to another.

Yes, went a bit OT. I'll give AA another call, the agent at time of booking wouldn't change it over. Cheers.

Seems a perfect case of HUaCA ...

Other than that you might try the AY site to change it.
