I received an email today indicating that Air New Zealand currently has a promo to the USA, with fares less than AUD 1000 all-in.

That's got to be pretty good, and they are a world-class airline. You also get 100% Star Alliance FF points credited. Beats the pants off QF, I think.

In the same way as Lord Howe Island is part of NSW.

I very much doubt there would be any FF crediting from these "Global Saver Max" fares.. to anything OTHER than the NZ program...

There isn't at normal fare levels!!!

They look to be booked in K class under the fare basis "KSPC1YL"

Under United Mileage Plus, and Singapore KrisFlyer this is an ineligible fare class. Havn't checked other *A partners.

It will however earn NZ points.

I have a week off in may...

Hmmmmm..... will I or won't I....

Do you have the valid dates for the promo? I'm guessing until June.
Chasing fares for September-October but I guess I'll have to wait. Wouldn't rush in and book now.

Looks to be 18/04/2009 - 27/06/2009 (must be booked before 23 Feb).

I'm sure there will be further deals happening!
