My mates son will have a 5hr layover in BKK in Feb. Apparently travelling in Y with Thai. I am looking for suggestions for the best paid lounge access for him. I have found a few articles from regular bloggers but thought regular travellers on here might have some insights/opinions

Is there a specific facility he needs such as a shower? Or internet? BKK AP is huge and he can get virtually anything airside outside of a lounge. Lots of food areas as well,

Even a massage that albeit more expensive than land side is quite good.

I'd go for the Miracle first class lounge on concourse 'D'.
A few of the airline lounges offer paid access too, but none to recommend.

Nothing specific. He is mid 20's & I think it would be his 1st lounge visit & his parents are looking at it as a Xmas present. We did a bit of a Star Alliance lounge crawl the last time we were there but haven't used any paid lounges there.
I did a google search & saw where there is a group called BookFHR.com that apparently organise paid access & they had the Turkish Lounge as an option-it seemed a decent option during our short stop at it. Bangkok International Airport Lounges | Executive Airport Lounge

The Turkish lounge at BKK is good. Thai Airways sells lounge access both to thier own lounges and the Miracle Lounges - big different in prices! Special Offers | Lounge Passes at SBIA | Thai Airways
I travelled in TG Y about 18 months ago and used a similar offer to what MEL_Traveller posted, but prices were in THB back then and from memory i paid something like 500 baht, which was a bargain! The lounge was nothing special, food and drinks nothing special, showers adequate, took about 30 mins to queue. For the price however it was hard to complain. But had to be booked and paid in advance via a local TG office.
