Who has a paid membership and the thoughts?

My thinking is it is only $50 and it has saved me that at least

I have paid membership. Not only it is the convenience of extra features on mobile devices, etc, but also and more importantly, I am happy to support the ecosystem that has enabled one of my hobbies (flying) to be a lot more frequent and enjoyable as it otherwise would be.

Me also for the same reasons. If everyone was a taker there'd be nothing to take, and the benefits to me easily outweigh the cost (admin, not an excuse to increase the sub ...)

I initially subscribed for the discount on QP membership.

I get a discount on EF, and a couple of bag tags, too.

And I don't like ads.

I initially was on the free membership but managed to grab one of the superb mistake fares out of Myanmar through this forum. Saved plenty on those and also enjoy post photos and trip reports so was happy to pay for membership. Have gained a lot from this forum, so I wanted to help it be maintained and get better.

I don't have paid membership, but just wanted to post in this thread so that the thread listing no longer looked like this:

:)

I too like many others am happy to pay the fee for the amount of knowledge i have learnt from the forum.

Life is very different since finding AFF (not only because i spend hours reading posts everyday which annoys Mrs Aaronjames to no end) but because i now know how to maximize my travel experiences.

If it weren't for AFF i would never have imagined taking my family on first class holidays. Bring on SQ Suites and QF First holiday to Europe next month!

Ima paid silver how do I go to AFF gold?.

I believe you need to cancel your Silver subscription through Paypal and then sign up for a Gold one, but the best bet would be to first PM support, as they'll have a better idea.

And yes, I too am a Gold member, initially it was the lure of the discounted QP membership, but the removal of ads and support of the eco-system is beneficial too :)

As samh004 says, you will need to take out a new subscription. Send me a PM once done, and we will issue a pro-rata refund for your remaining SILVER subscription which will effectively be unused.

The best $50 I've ever spent.

Some of the functions on the mobile App in particular are very advantageous !
