Paid lounge membership - international flights

I have a paid Velocity lounge membership. i am going on a long haul flight from Sydney to LAX next year. Will this paid membership get me access into the Sydney lounge when I am leaving? Or is the paid lounge only for domestic?

Unfortunately lounge members cannot access the lounges when travelling to LAX.

Virgin are opening a lounge in SYD in conjunction with Etihad. No date yet, but it is happening. It's likely paid lounge members could have access to this, although nothing has been announced.

You might be lucky. I think it supposed to be in the earlier part of the year.
MNot sure if I've seen any building works for it though
