L'Arpege

Ok final course - creme brulee
Well not really, they gave us some really juicy strawberries at the end which I had been eyeing since we came in..

All up, this place is well known for its vegetarian dishes.. they were excellent, sweet and fresh

Alain Passard came out at the end of service to have a little chat (nice touch)

Next - L'Astrance and the newly reopened Yam T'cha

Re: L'Arpege

I've had a drink, I'm sitting down..what did you pay at L'Arpege?
Well it was not too bad, it is all relative I guess..
For five adults, spring lunch menu, 2 bottles of champagne.. about 250E per person.
Best value is during lunch.

One of the great things about having a meal here is that you never ever feel put down for not having the full degustation menu. They never make you feel that you have not given yourself the best experience you could.
Also, they are amenable to slight changes to the menu you choose. Never with the attitude "this is it - take it or leave"
