QF did have the precedent of the ex-MH (iirc) "Ugly Sisters" 744's so certainly coukd be a thing. Unsure how the 787 market is. I presume few and far between for "sloppy seconds"

If the highly unlikely were to happen and QF were to theoretically take them up, it would be interesting to see what happens with the Y seats (IFE screens)

It’s unfortunate, because QF have the aircraft to do it. They could just take the 787s off HNL to allow for BNE-ORD.
