Definitely legit as my wife received the offer by snail mail. I paid $500 off our quarterly BAS so now waiting for the points to post on the next statement.

No but I have read the fine print which says that bonus points will be applied to the account within 14 business days of the transaction and will then be transferred to Qantas account after the next statement. My transaction did not occur more than 14 business days prior to the statement so I will have to wait until next month.

No - .75 points per $ on Amex and nothing on the Mastercard. The bonus is the only reason I have used it and only for the minimum $500 to bonus qualify.
