Sorry if this is not an airline question.
Am looking at using my FF points and flying Y+ with VA to LAX in early December.
Have always wanted to go to Portland, Oregon. Brewpubs aplenty.
Also have always wanted to go Salt Lake City. I am not Mormon, but it does interest me.
Anyone been to either city? Worth it or not?
Would be flying Alaska Airlines from LAX to PDX on a Delta ticket, but then Delta for the other two flights.

Yes been to both.
Salt Lake City-well I prefer the rest of Utah.Amazing National parks.get a car, drive around and dont forget to get an Annual NP Pas-saves you money.
Portland,Oregon-loved it.Also good shopping with a good outlet mall nearby to keep mrsdrron happy.Again get a car-drive down the central valley of Oregon then back up the coast.

thanks drron.
I am very much looking forward to the brewpubs of OR, but something about Utah also draws me in.

I go to SLC fairly regularly.
They go huntin and fishin in Utah and the ski slopes in their winter is special.
The scenery is wonderful when the mountain snow melts.
You can track your family roots on their computer service which I have done for a couple of hours.
If you want a talking point stay a night or two at Grand America which is the big brother hotel to Little America.....suggest you google these two hotels. With the Aussie dollar so high both are affordable.
