Any update on this?

I have an overnight in PER on Fri 22 Jun if anyone is about. Will be staying at Novotel Langley but can use the Cat to get to where we went last time.

I will be in Broome so the Cat bus cuts out a little short of Cable Beach.

Firstly, a bit of an apology. For those who caught my post in TTOTT recently, I've been knee deep in starting a new job and dealing with my own issues relating to mental health. This is why this went entirelly on the backburner for me.

Thanks also to all who responded to the survey and expressed an interest.

Event will not be going ahead

To matters at hand, on the balance of things I don't see us being able to pull this off for July, due in part to the lack of drive behind the community in Perth at this time. This however doesn't take away from the fact that there is interest and it is something I'd like to revisit next year as part of continued events for the Perth AFF community.

Survey result summary

In any case, the survey generated some useful data - which I will summarise for everyones benefit as well as those looking to plan events in future.

Anyone who'd like a more detailed breakdown of the responses can contact me directly.

Locations of those interested: Mainly an even split between Perth (Metro & Regional) and Interstate, with three people thinking they're funny claiming to live in outer space.

Committment of those interested
: Only 33% of respondants were very likely to attend, and only 7% were absolute.

+1's
: 17 people were likely to bring with them at least 1x +1 to the event. Breakdowns don't allow me to evaluate that against those who were absolutely/very likely to attend.

Price point: Respondants most happy to spend between AUD41-60 on the meal per pax (48%), with others having deep pockets and happy to spend AUD61 or more (44.5%).

Secret santa: Idea very well received, most prepared to spend between AUD11 to AUD20 on a gift (42%).

Preferred day: Dead heat between Saturday, and any day with a Y in it (40.5% each).

Preferred date: Question is redundant as it won't be going ahead, but most preferred 1st week of July (49%).

Dietary requirments: Of those with an issue in this area, a lot of you seem to be lactose intollerant, a bit of gluten intollerance, and some of you (throws salt & spits over shoulder) being Vegetarians. Thankfully nobody with a requirment that if breached would require a trip to the A&E and/or an Epi-pen.

Cuisine preferences: Modern Australian is the general consensus, but you'd be more than accomodating if you went with Traditional English/Christmase fare, Asian, Chinese, Steak, or Italian.
