PER J lounge + staff

Here now, must be the best domestic lounge hands down.

Heck, I've been in worse International Qantas lounges.

Staff very, very good.

Pizza good.

Beer good.

Crowd good.

5 stars Qantas.

Too often this place is an outlet for complaining about Qantas staff (some warranted, a lot not).

Anyway I've just left the very good new J lounge and for the first time have felt compelled to comment here about a member of Qantas staff.

Daniel, behind the bar in the J lounge is here walking out coughtails, getting food for people in their seats all over the place.Individually greeting and farewelling travellers, running out from the bar to shake their hand, asking their name and wishing them a safe trip and thanking them for visiting / flying Qantas. Bringing out coffees and drinks to where they are seated.

He is clearly very genuinely interested in looking after his guests.

Anyway I never write about this stuff but for the first time in a long time I've felt very welcomed in a QFF lounge and others In there were as well as they were all talking about how good he was on the way to the gate.

So to Daniel on the floor in the PER J lounge today, good on you for doing a stellar job. Very refreshing and appreciated, and I hope Red Roo / Qantas recognize and reward that kind of service as it is very much appreciated by QFF members!!

I had the same experience last weekend. Was very nice to have a handshake as I left the lounge. This guy should be running the training sessions for everybody else. I must say he was the polar opposite to the staff at the front desk!

First visit to the j lounge, very impressive, about time QF invested in Perth

Great start to the journey, a good coffee, even found time to create a design

Nice selection of breakfast

What no pizza at 7:30 am, hmmmm surely they could serve cold pizza or a breakfast pizza

I was in there this morning as well for the first time prior to by flight to MEL. Very impressed. Reminds me of the SIN lounge, though without as much food. Definitely want to head back for a flight later in the day though to try out the pizzas.

Small world, if my recollection of the seat layout is correct you were to my left half a seat back.

First flight in the new J product, after other flights have been swapped out at the last moment really impressed with the fit out. Decent size screen and comfortable seat.
