You can and many here do - including myself when I first got WP. Novelty has worn off for me. (although I wish I lived in SYD or MEL so I could use it on real trips.)

I was delighted when I saw the Tiger sale yesterday. I rang my “poor” son and am paying for a long weekend visit for him from Melbourne to Perth. $135 in total. He is coming over for his grandfather’s 90[SUP]th[/SUP] birthday.

Unfortunately, there were no Jetstar flights near the times he wished to travel. He didn’t want me to pay for the extra legroom seats, although he is 6”2”, as he almost always is offered exit row seats for no extra cost.

I hope he has a good look at the other prices out of Melbourne. And maybe another trip to see his mum before the sale dates pass. It is a great chance for a poverty-stricken boy to still do a little travel.

Booked two adults and two kids from Syd. to GC + return for total of $299.60

( available for travel in July school holidays !! )

I am not totally up to date on latests stats but just watch out for the JQ PER-MEL services as they used to have an anomalously high cancellation rate, in a thread I saw a while ago, just a freindly warning for those in Perth thinking they could get a good cheap flight to catch the footy in Melbourne for example!

Question for those who have booked with Price Beat before -- how long does it take to receive the email itinerary - its been a while and I've been told it could take a week. Is it normally this long?

It does take a while, sometime you get one quickly with the wrong figures on it!

Too true - or sometimes the wrong persons itinerary :shock:

Mine came through within 4 hours this time- it's taken up to 48 hours previously.
