Does anyone know if the same aircraft goes onto Melbourne?

QF668 Depart PER 10:50 Arrive ADL 15:00
QF690 Depart ADL 15:40 Arrive MEL 17:25

Last time I was booked on these flights to MEL but QF668 got delayed and they said I won't be able to make the connection. So I was swapped to a direct flight. I asked them if it was the same plane going to MEL but the didn't know.

Thing is, I came back through ADL on the way home, and it was the same plane.

QF677 Depart MEL 09:10 Arrive ADL 10:00
QF587 Depart ADL 11:10 Arrive PER 13:05

Is there anywhere to check this online?

thanks

I believe it does.

I recall hopping onto a plane in ADL around a year ago to MEL around 4pm in the arvo, and finding someone else's BP from the previous PER-ADL sector.

There are only a couple of ways to be sure.

1) Check the gate arrival information and gate departure information in ADL.
2) Check the regos of the 2 planes involved.

You probably even have the same crew. I know I've often swapped planes with around 20-40 mins difference and end up with the same domestic crew. (BNE-MEL-ADL vv / BNE-MEL-LST / BNE-SYD-CBR vv ) are some examples that come to mind.
