Perhaps it's time for QF to mirror the SQ PPS Solitare Scheme

Now hear me out before you all jump up and down.

Think it may be time for QF to look at the introduction of a scheme similar to SQ with the PPS program where revenue spend in J and F is calculated to determine the top levels in their frequent flyer scheme.

Say around 250k over a 5 year period for top level and 50k in a rolling 12 month period for level 2.

With the top level there would be benefits such as lounge access to a separate area of Flounge, full transfers, seat guarantee, concierge type service, free travel insurance, etc etc

Perhaps this may help settle the arguments.

Like The Private Room in SIN SKL?

I love how my F Savers redemptions on SQ allow me to rub shoulders with the upper crust in TPR.

I have no objection to this, Feper, as 100% of my travel is in J or F.

As long as the ASA fare rules do not change, I'm all in for this :)

And what makes you think WP1 is not this?
I suspect the average spend for 2700 SCs (on QF) is pretty high.

And does your spend just scrape in to the threshold? I think the number needs to be higher and qualification over the next 5 years not retrospective.

And what makes you think that Any Seat awards would be assigned a $ value when it comes to PPS status? I would imagine you would have to literally spend at least $50,000 per year and if you really want to include points then at 0.8c value per point you would need to spend ~6,300,000 QFF points per year.

If you think SQ's method is so advanced or better. Maybe you should switch to SQ.

QF programme is not perfect, but it works at this moment. Any changes will only to worse off it seems.

Leave the current QFF alone.

I do fly SQ and I am currently PPS (not Solitare) and this is how I am aware of the benefits of this scheme, SQ is a very good airline, but they only fly direct to SIN from Australia.

Thanks for the cheery response, I didn't realize that my posts where compulsory reading.

FYI re qualified for P1 6 months ago.

Must also say it is amazing the vile that spews from the keyboard of some, my views whilst polarizing have never stooped to this kind of level, yet I'm the one put in the naughty corner.

Didn't realize bumping into a seat was a federal offense, will need to be very careful next time their is a bit of turbulence.

Must say that the responses to some of my posts reflect more on the responders than they do on me, does anyone really think think that someone would ask someone to change seats because that's is mine, or spill water on a seat, or commit that federal offense of bumping into a seat?

Walk into your bathroom people and take a long look in the mirror, the responses received here when people feel that someone may get something more than them is unbelievable.

You make all these comments that you are P1 and what ever.

I can find none of your travel in any threads.

Can you put a image of your P1 card on the forum with your number blanked out.

Out of curiosity Feper, what is it that you do that requires all the travel?

P1 with QF and PPS with SQ would indicate some serious miles.

Work hard and fly a lot
And before anyone asks for further credentials.

revenue spend in J and F is calculated to determine the top levels in their frequent flyer scheme.

QF already have something similar, well perhaps in concept, not so much in regard to the particular details you propose.

It's called CL. However it is technically not part of QFF. Just like Qantas Club membership.

If you have to go on an internet forum and encourage discussion about a QF equivalent of PPS Solitaire, chances are you are nowhere near that level.
Chances are also that if you can't spell Solitaire, then that could be a reflection of your understanding on the topic... or other topics not limited to this one.

As you may or may not know, CL membership also incorporates other factors, besides spend on J/F travel, that are not publicised for various reasons.
My understanding is that overall spend (including non premium cabin travel) is taken into account, in addition to other commercially strategic factors.

Then again I am not a CL (nor am I anywhere near it) so there may be some element of inaccurate information reported, but it is something I am more than happy to accept.
The fact is that there is a clear distinction between the two. Either you are CL or you are not.
The top level is CL and anything else is below that.
Even P1s or WPs like me are below CL in the pecking order.

Are you a CL member Feper?
From a Bayesian perspective, your a priori of being one is low, but I thought I'd ask :)

Scanning cards are we? Here is mine...

Anyways, l think that the QF scheme is fine. Even flying in Y and on the cheapest ticket you get points and SC's, lots of airlines don't do this (including SQ).
Feper, why not aim for LH HON?

Nice wallet bling, didn't want to have to show cards but some thought it was the only way to prove my credentials.

LH HON, doesn't do much for me, all my SQ travel is in J, so PPS is easy to obtain and maintain

Hi Feper, if you don't mind me asking but who pays for your travel?

Is it mainly corporate, self funded or a combnation of both?

Feper, I am totally in awe of your world travels and superior status. Could you perhaps become my mentor, as I really wish for nothing more than to become as powerful and important to the airlines as you.

Don't QF track spend with them behind the scenes, so to speak, and do a few extra things for the truly high value customers?

Logged off for a week or so.

I had thought in between time that Alan and his good mate Tim would have realised how important Feper really was and contacted him to offer an A380 at his disposal.

Feper, what are the benefits of PPS membership? Do you get access to the Silverkris lounge in SIN even if flying Y?
