United Airlines Customers Should Get Ready For A New In-Flight Ad Experience

  • United Airlines has launched a partnership with Kinective Media, offering personalized ads to its customers.
  • Marketers can leverage the platform to reach premium audiences through the airline's app and in-flight entertainment (IFE) screens, showing personalized advertisements.
  • United Airlines argued that especially its MileagePlus program members will receive additional value through more personalized and real-time offers.

Didn't read the article but I certainly hope this doesn't catch on, or that at least we can turn the screen off!

I like to leave my screen on the route map while using a personal device for content or work, would be very annoying if the ads were not stoppable, and/or got in the way of the route map

As a UA 2 Million Miler, UA is now a dead duck for me.

It's great having these personalised ads (not), but how about the massive devaluation of Mileage Plus awards?

Am I missing something?
