Perth terminal 1 Qantas Lounge

Excellent flight Perth to London, no jet lag, great selection of movies, toilets didn’t overflow or stop us from sleeping, plenty of food ... I was worried that we might go hungry .... arrived at Heathrow at 5am and not another flight in sight in our terminal so it was the easiest entry we’ve had... quite happy to do the reverse trip after a month in Italy. Economy seriously isn’t that bad ....
What was the load like? Full? Empty seats near you?

I'm a little confused. Is it now no longer possible to access the Qantas lounge at T1 when flying JQ/3K?

I'd be keen to know this as flying JQ to DPS next week. I am a QF WP flying JQ Y.

Apparently not as JQ is not a oneworld partner, that is what I was told at the T1 lounge in May.
I was flying EK and trying to use complimentary passes. It was only because i bought the tix via Qantas that i was able to use the complimentary passes. If I had bought EK, then I would not have been allowed to use the complimentary passes at the Qantas lounge which apparently is not operated by Qantas now which is why it does not appear on any qantas web pages.

Please let me know how you go as I'm hoping to do the same the week later, but with a guest pass. I was able to use one (five actually) back in December.

Edit: Qantas Website still lists T1 as allowing access for WPs on JQ

It's an International Business Lounge, not a transit lounge or oneworld lounge (e.g. LAX). No reason not to let you in.

On the page for the lounge passes, it has this notice:
Please note not all eligible lounges will be available for access due to lounge redevelopments or other access restrictions. Currently, this includes the Melbourne Qantas Club and all Perth lounges (except Perth Qantas Club). Affected lounges will not display when linking an invitation to eligible flights.
This suggests there is some kind of issue with using a pass for this lounge in Perth.

As far as using for EK flights, the important detail is booking on the QF flight number, it doesn't matter who sells you the ticket (QF will happily sell you an EK flight number). Indeed, the same page says you must be "on a Qantas (QF) or Jetstar (JQ, 3K, GK, BL) flight numbe"

Please let me know how you go...

Sitting in the Lounge now. No bother as a QF WP travelling JQ Y to guest SWMBO and Master in. It’s QF Business marketed, QF staffed and has the QF menu. Lovely space, quiet, clean. Thumbs up.

Just used the lounge before a Jetstar flight to Bali.
I had selected Domestic Qantas Club for the digital pass allocation but presented it at international and it was accepted.
Nicest lounge dragon I've ever met this evening!
Shame about the poor food offering in the lounge - and getting told off for pouring myself a double!

Should answer some of the questions in this thread.

As for getting in trouble...I probably would've said "since I'm already in trouble, better pour a triple!"
