Perth Virgin Lounge below expectations

That is really the whole issue!

It could be as simple as the lounge workers being concerned about moving among the flouro vested clientele, lest they elicit typically lewd comments.

Which was exactly my point earlier when I said IMHO staff looked overawed by the huge bunch of mine workers in lounge on both occasions.

Besides the fact there is a lot of them, on any of the occasions I have flown out of perth, I have never heard anything like that from any of them. They just eat a lot and are a bit loud!

Well, it's certainly not a safety issue about the risks of tripping over them. Those guys are easy to spot.

That raises issues far greater than dirty dishes on tables. No worker, in any occupation, should be concerned over their welfare and safety in their workplace and if there are genuine issues of catering staff safety (or even bullying or intimidation) catering management, DJ and or the police need to resolve that.

However, there is absolutely no inference from the OP, that any such intimidation was evident. I've said before, assumptions, hypothesises and generalisations toward fellow pax because of the colour of their shirts, is not particularly helpful.

I could equally (wrongfully) generalise in a different direction and say the catering staff is just typically too bone idle to bother cleaning up.....but I'd be wrong, as it is not typical IMHO!

I did not state such happened in this case, I merely indicated there may be a concern from the staff with such. Maybe based on some experience in other environments outside an airport.
