HI all, we are taking the leap and have booked to travel from Bne to LAX with a layover of 4 hours in Manila. A question has anyone done this recently? Is there onboard entertainment? I have seen a video recently that said PAL did not have entertainment on a long haul flight? Just wondering what peoples experience is with doing this.?

I travelled PR (Wamos Air) J class in Oct 24 but it was between SYD-MNL-SYD. Very friendly crew, food was ok, drink selection was quite limited and a standard nothing special layflat bed.

I travelled last year on one of its A321s in J.

The refurbished ones (of which mine was one) had 12 lie flat seats in a 2-2 configuration. Not many airlines achieve this in J on single aisle planes. The seat was comfortable, cuisine fine, service friendly and it operated punctually.

In Y, PR222 BNE to MNL should have seatback entertainment as it's normally a refurbished A321, as are the MNL-PER-MNL flights.

Your LAX flight may be a B773 with angled (but very roomy) seats in J in a 2-3-2 config. It and Y will have seatback entertainment.

Don't believe everything you see online:

On some aircraft, the entertainment might be via streaming only. But it's still there (or supposed to be!). I've certainly had very sharp screens, on some of their larger aircraft. Maybe a bit hit and miss for physical screens?
